Domains & Hosting
It is upon the client to secure a domain name and web hosting for their website. Please make sure that the web hosting package you end up purchasing can support WordPress. It would be good idea to ask them directly if they do support WordPress.
Permissions and Privacy
I will require access to various accounts (ie. your web hosting account) and will request your usernames and passwords while working with you. This information will NOT be shared with anyone and will only be used to complete your project. I have access to various sensitive account info with all my clients, you can always change the password after we are done your project.
Typical Time Frame for Web Design/Development
Before starting a project, a deposit of 20% of the total project cost will have to be made and your choice of child theme. Below is a rough timeline after those have been completed.
- 1 week to research and design a concept layout.
- 1 week to finalize a layout. This should include 1 to 2 rounds of revisions.
- 2-5 days to apply the design to the Child Theme you chose.
- 1 week to review and make any final content and validation corrections.
- 3 days to setup and install the theme on your website. includes testing to make sure everything is working.
Of course the above is in an ideal setting. It may take more or even less time depending on how fast and well communication is being exchanged. Those with the Basic Blog Design package will have a much shorter design/development time frame.
Cross Browser Compatibility
Each of my designs are tested for cross-browser compatibility, meaning I ensure it will display properly in the most latest versions of Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome as of the date your new blog or website launches.
Pixelarcher Creative and the Client must work together to complete the project in a timely manner. It is up to both parties to work consistently and keep communication to complete the project by the due date. It is in this case the client responsibility to provide ALL and ANY content and materials that are required to complete the project.
If the project is open for many months and the Client fails to supply Pixelarcher Creative with the content and materials required to move on, then the project will be put on hold or even terminated at which point the client may owe up to 30% of the balance of the project depending on how much work was done up to that point.
Termination of a Project
The client may cancel the project at anytime in writing. In this event Pixelarcher Creative reserves the right to keep the Client deposit of 20%, and charge up to 30% of the remaining fees depending on how much work has been done at the time of cancellation.
All work made at that point will remain Pixelarcher Creative property unless other arrangements are mutually agreed upon.
If project is terminated by Pixelarcher Creative for any reasons other than client tardiness, the 20% deposit will be refunded to the client after which all items created by Pixelarcher Creative to date will remain property of Pixelarcher Creative unless other arrangements are mutually agreed upon.
Credits and Copyrights
All website design created by Pixelarcher Creative remains my intellectual property. The copyright on the designs are also mine. As the client you have the right to use what I design on your website and website only. You many not use the designs for promotions or social media such as facebook cover photos, avatars etc… I offer those design services separately. Discounts will be applied for social media design only if the client has bought a web design package already.
A credit linking back to me as Pixelarcher Creative will be placed the in footer of your design. This credit must remain in the footer for as long as your website is using my design.
I also have the right to use the design I make for you in my portfolio, in promotional material and in any case studies I create.
If a quote is approved, a 20% non-refundable deposit as stated on your quote is required before I can begin the project. We can work out a payment schedule for the duration of the project. The remainder is due at the end of the project BEFORE the theme/website is installed on your server, it is at this point you will receive via email a final invoice.
Payments can be made:
– through PayPal which also accepts credit card payments securely. You do not have to have a PayPal account to use this service.
– by cheque to Leila Pahary
– by electronic bank transfer.
Please pay on time, after the final payment has been received the theme/website will be installed on your server.
Final amounts not paid within the 14 days of the invoice issue date will incur a late fee of $50.00. An additional 5% will be added to the amount owing for each week of delinquency.
