Wow, when it comes to my own projects I really take my time. I’m sure people were wondering when I was going to get my site back up and running. It’s been down since I went on maternity leave 2 years ago!
I literally went through several designs, some were coded while others were just concepts. I would then change my mind and come up with a completely different layout. Then there was the computer crash where I lost all my work and had to start all over again.
I’m using WordPress 3.1 to run this site. I’ve done A LOT of customization and it has opened my eyes to the possibilities of what I can achieve with WordPress. I built the portfolio part of this site using Custom Post Types. I’ll write an article about what code I used and how I got everything to work once I get around to it. Paginating everything seemed to be the most difficult, but I got it to all work in the end.
Right now I’ll have my cup of tea and celebrate that I got my own site up and running :)
